Wrapping Up Courage Unit

Mrs. Mendralski's classes are wrapping up their unit on courage.  Students read a variety of types genres where characters and events demonstrated courage.  All students wrote an argumentative paper that discussed which character from our reading displayed the most courage.

Below are some pictures of the social media project that the honors students created for characters from Farewell to Manzanar.

Unit 2 will focus on Characters with Character.  Our essential question for the unit is, "How do authors fully develop characters?"  To start off the unit students will be writing about their ideal "character with character".  Then, all students will be reading the novel Dragonwings by Laurence Yep.
